It will be interesting to see if this attempt to settle is the end of the TJX saga. Somehow I think not but who knows.
And, for “All Customers”, the following:
“TJX will hold a future, three-day Customer Appreciation special event in which prices at all T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, A.J. Wright stores in the U.S. and Puerto Rico and all Winners and HomeSense stores in Canada will be reduced by 15%. “

Its also interesting that they are only offering actuals.. considering the pain involved with having to replace your Drivers license / credit cards, time involved / emotional stress etc.. IANAL but I’d say that a class action lawsuit would take all this into account..
I just imagine “The Office” (US version) when I think about this. (Or any US office to be honest…having spent plenty of time there). I can just see the legals in there with the marketing team and someone comes up with this brainwave – backslapping and high 5s…..very few senior management bonuses under threat now!
