Had to laugh the other day – radio advertisement for new notebook computer comes on: “……. and, comes standard with Microsoft Vista but can be easily changed to XP”.
Vista is another prime example of corporate arrogance.. It seems that Microsoft has forgotten why people used their operation system in the first place. People used it because it provided the greatest footprint of compatibility and interoperability.
This is very similar to Sony dropping the ball with MP3 players and handing the portable music baton to Apple. Sure it was under orders from Sony/BMG but Apple addressed the copyright problems and the rest is history.
